Which membership suits you?
As a professional association, we are here for all professionals in chemistry, life sciences and process technology. Whether you are just starting your career or are already an experienced professional, we offer you the right support and networking opportunities for every stage of your career. Professional
Full membership for professionals in chemistry, life sciences and process technology.
Young Professional
Full membership at a reduced rate for professionals up to 30 years of age.
Bachelor's student
Bachelor's students we offer a three year introduction membership free of charge.
Membership fee
The membership fee is €130 per year, payable by direct debit. The membership fee is invoiced annually in January.
- The membership fee is determined by your age on December 31 of the calendar year in question.
- If you become a member during the course of the year, the membership fee for that year will be calculated on a pro rata basis.
- If you choose to pay the membership fee yourself, an administration fee of €5 will be charged.

Other discount schemes
We have a special offer for bachelor's, master's, and PhD students. Members up to the age of 29 also benefit from an age-dependent discount, as you can see in the membership fee overview. In addition, we have a few other specific discount schemes that you may be able to take advantage of.
● Student discount 24+
Are you a full-time student and over 24 years old? Then you can take advantage of the lowest regular KNCV membership fee. To do so, you must send us proof of enrollment (stating the academic year). This discount is valid as long as you are studying full-time, but must be reapplied for each year.
Are you already a member and would you like to take advantage of this scheme? Then you must submit an application via the above email address no later than 1 month after receiving the membership invoice.
● Housemate membership
Are you a KNCV member and do you live at the same address as another paying KNCV member? Then you can apply for housemate membership. As a housemate member, you will receive a 65% discount on the regular membership fee. You will no longer receive C2W. The discount will be applied to the highest membership fee.
● Discount for teachers and TOAs
We want to support teachers (and trainee teachers) and TOAs. The KNCV wants to raise the profile of chemistry and chemists, and that starts at school. That is why they receive a substantial discount on the KNCV membership fee as long as they are a teacher (or TOA). From the age of 27, the discount on the membership fee is 50%.
The various discount schemes cannot be combined. To claim one of these three discount schemes, you must send an email to ledenadministratie@kncv.nl after you have registered as a member.
Canceling your membership
Want to cancel your membership? No problem; you can cancel your membership whenever you want. Please note that you must cancel before December 1st of the current association year (1st January to 31st December), otherwise you will remain a member for another year and will therefore owe another year's membership fee. You can easily cancel your membership via your My KNCV environment.
