Support from the fund is exclusively intended for activities that contribute to their professional development within the field of chemistry.

This includes:

1. (co-)financing participation in international internships, conferences, or congresses with professional relevance;
2. providing a financial contribution to support doctoral research aimed at promoting the relationship between chemistry, art conservation, and restoration;
3. supporting activities aimed at increasing the chances of finding suitable employment.

Unless otherwise specified, the maximum contribution from the fund is €500.
The total amount to be paid out can never exceed the actual costs incurred.

Participant requirements:

• at least two years of paid membership of the KNCV and
  • student (final phase of higher professional education/university), PhD student, or working in (bio)chemistry/chemical technology;
  • no previous contribution from the fund;
  • younger than 36 years of age.

The application consists of:

1. a brief description of the purpose of the application
2. motivation for the application
3. budget of the costs to be incurred
4. overview of the financing (e.g., contribution from working group)
5. in the case of a (PhD) student, a letter of recommendation from the employer or supervisor
