KNCV Geursen Fund
Support from the fund is exclusively intended for activities that contribute to their professional development within the field of chemistry.
This includes:
- (co-)financing participation in international internships, conferences, or congresses with professional relevance;
- providing a financial contribution to support doctoral research aimed at promoting the relationship between chemistry, art conservation, and restoration;
- supporting activities aimed at increasing the chances of finding suitable employment.
Unless otherwise specified, the maximum contribution from the fund is €500.
The total amount to be paid out can never exceed the actual costs incurred.
Participant requirements:
- at least two years of paid membership of the KNCV and
- student (final phase of higher professional education/university), PhD student, or working in (bio)chemistry/chemical technology;
- no previous contribution from the fund;
- younger than 36 years of age.
The application consists of:
- a brief description of the purpose of the application
- motivation for the application
- budget of the costs to be incurred
- overview of the financing (e.g., contribution from working group)
- in the case of a (PhD) student, a letter of recommendation from the employer or supervisor
