The KNCV Geursen Fund provides financial support to young chemists for international internships, congresses, conferences, and other activities that contribute to their professional development.
Seize the opportunity, broaden your horizons, and give your development in chemistry an international boost.
You can apply for a grant from the KNCV Geursen Fund if you:
are under the age of 36;
have been a paying KNCV member for at least two years;
are in the final stage of a higher professional education (HBO) or university degree program, are a PhD student,
or are employed in the field of (bio)chemistry or chemical engineering; have not previously received a grant from the Geursen Fund.
In most cases, the maximum contribution from the KNCV Geursen Fund is €500. Are you attending a conference?
Then the following applies:
outside Europe: a maximum of €500;
within Europe: a maximum of €350.
The final contribution never exceeds the costs you actually incur.
Attend a relevant professional congress or international conference, or gain valuable experience during an internship abroad.
Are you conducting doctoral research at the intersection of chemistry, art conservation, and restoration? The Geursen Fund can provide financial support for this as well.
Activities that increase your chances of finding a suitable job in the chemical sector may also be eligible for support.
