Represent KNCV abroad

Are you attending an international conference to give a presentation or lecture on behalf of the KNCV? Or are you representing the KNCV on an international board or committee? International knowledge exchange and collaboration are vital for a strong chemical community.

Do you represent the KNCV abroad? The KNCV Fellinga Fund offers financial support to help cover the associated travel and accommodation costs, making it easier for you to establish these international connections.

In this way, the KNCV supports members who share their expertise internationally, build valuable connections, and represent the Dutch chemical community abroad.

What can you apply for a contribution for?

Present on behalf of KNCV

Are you representing the KNCV at an international conference and giving a presentation or lecture there? If so, you can apply for a contribution towards the associated costs.

Board member representing KNCV

Do you serve on an IUPAC or EuCheMS board or committee on behalf of the KNCV? If so, the Fellinga Fund can contribute to your travel and accommodation expenses when no other source of funding is available.

Financial support of up to €750

The maximum contribution from the KNCV Fellinga Fund is €750.

The final reimbursement can never exceed the costs you actually incur.

Do you qualify?

You can submit an application if you:

have been a member of the KNCV for at least two years;
represent the KNCV at an international conference by giving a presentation and/or lecture;
or serve on a board or committee of EuCheMS/IUPAC on behalf of the KNCV and have no other source of funding available for your travel and accommodation expenses.

You may apply to the Fellinga Fund once per calendar year. Grants are awarded subject to the approval of the KNCV Board or the relevant section.

Submitting an application is simple.

If you wish to make use of the Fellinga Fund, please ensure your application is submitted at least two months before the start date.

For the assessment, we would like to receive:

a brief description of the event;
the purpose of your visit and your motivation;
an estimate of the expected costs;
an overview of other available funding, for example, a contribution from a working group.
