Hosea Saputro Handoyo

This year's first prize went to Hosea Saputro Handoyo (Hogeschool van Arnhem en Nijmegen) for his thesis on his research entitled “TPL2 Activation by IL-1ß requires two distinct signaling pathways.”

From the jury report:
(…) “The report excellently describes the research that Hosea conducted during his graduation internship at the MRC Protein Phosphorylation Unit at the University of Dundee, Scotland, under the supervision of Sir Philip Cohen. The choice of this world-renowned institute shows that Hosea wanted to further his technical and scientific skills during his graduation.”

(…) “The report also stands out for the insight Hosea demonstrates into the complex subject matter. The results described in his graduation report will undoubtedly lead to a scientific publication in an excellent journal.”
