The Chemistry Europe Travel Grant, sponsored by Chemistry Europe, is an initiative that promotes collaboration between promising young researchers and leading principal investigators in the European scientific community. This program aims to create important contacts, facilitate laboratory visits, and promote knowledge exchange.

CE Travel Grant
The Travel Grant is a sum of €2,000 and is open to early career researchers who fulfill the following criteria:

Eligibility criteria:

• KNCV member for at least 2 years 
• At least 2 years post-PhD experience 
• A plan for a research stay of 1–2 months in a country different from the applicant’s current working or home country 

Application procedure:
All applicants must submit:

• A proposal (maximum 1 A4 page) explaining what research will be conducted during the visit 
• A latest CV 
• Up to 5 publications relevant to the proposed research stay 

Important dates:

• Application period: April – 15 October 2026 
• November – December 2026: Societies review applications and select recipients 
• By 31 December 2026: Societies report winners to Chemistry Europe 
• January 2027: Winners announced by Chemistry Europe
