Winner of the Golden Spatula 2011
Tina Senff
During the award ceremony at the C2W Career Expo on March 28, 2012, Tina Senff (Zuyd University of Applied Sciences) was named the winner of the 2011 Golden Spatula Award for her thesis entitled “Association between TNF-alpha, Interleukins and CD86 polymorphisms and bortezomib efficacy in multiple myeloma patients.”
From the jury report:...
"Tina conducted research at the University Hospital Aachen into the detection of relevant biomarkers that can be used in the clinic to predict the prognosis of the treatment of multiple myeloma with the proteasome inhibitor bortezomib. The report is full of practical information, supplemented by an impressive amount of statistical analysis of the results. The enthusiasm and clear language with which Tina presents the results in her report make it very readable, even for a layman. These facts make Tina Senff an excellent winner of the 2011 Golden Spatula Award."
