Peter Timmerman, PhD, Chief Technology Officer at Pepscan Therapeutics BV.

Peter Timmerman is inventor of the CLIPSTM technology and as CTO drives further advances in protein mimicry technology for therapeutic antibody development and peptide businesses at PEPSCAN. Peter also holds a special chair as Professor in Protein Mimetic Chemistry at the Faculty of Science of Amsterdam University(UvA).  He studied Chemistry at the Free University (VUA), Amsterdam, and obtained a PhD summa cum laude from Twente University (UT ).  He was recipient of the 1995 Backer prize for the best thesis in Organic Chemistry. He performed post-doctoral research at ETHZ (Zürich, Switzerland) and was Assistant Professor in Supramolecular Chemistry &Technology at Twente University(UT). He is co-author of over 80 scientific papers and ~8 patents.
