Catalysis Conferences 2024 Newsletter

With this newsletter, we would like to draw your attention to some of the catalysis conferences taking place in Europe during the first half of 2024, including the 25th Anniversary edition of N3C.

In this DCS newsletter, you will find additional information on the nominations for the DCS MSc Poster awards.

We are looking forward to meeting you all at N3C 2024 for our DCS ALV 2024.

On behalf of the DCS Board,

Prof. Dr. Moniek Tromp (Chair Dutch Catalysis Society)

Dr. Ir. Hirsa Torres Galvis (Vice-chair DCS)

NCCC 2024

The 25th edition of The Netherlands' Catalysis and Chemistry Conference, NCCC, will be held from March 4th to 6th at the NH Conference Center Leeuwenhorst in Noordwijkerhout. This anniversary edition will have a special celebration. We encourage you to submit your abstracts and to attend the conference in 2024. You would not like to miss it. More information will follow later this year.

The submission of abstracts is now open and the registration to the conference will start on November 1st. The deadline for submissions of oral abstracts is December 7th.

DCS MSc Poster Awards 2024

Also in 2024, the DCS will offer the possibility to a group of master students to present their research at N3C during the poster sessions. The main requirements are that the topic of the master thesis is related to catalysis and that the student is a current member of DCS (The DCS membership for students under 24 years has no fee).

The students must submit an abstract (as PDF) to dutchcatsoc@gmail.com. The abstract has the same format as it must be submitted for N3C (See Poster abstracts).

The deadline for poster abstracts submission to the N3C organization is February 7th.The deadline for applications to the DCS MSc Poster Awards will be around the end of January 2024. We'll send out a reminder with a specific date eraly next year.

We hope to receive many applications.DCSlogo-180

18th ICC (International Congress on Catalysis 2024)

The 18th ICC will take place from July 14th to July 19th in Lyon, France. The conference counts with 33 scientific topics. For the first time, the worldwide catalysis community has been invited to contribute building the ICC program by organizing short symposia. Some of the topics are:

T6: Unifying concepts to tackle dynamics in computational catalysis

T7: Quantum simulation combined with machine learning for catalysis

T10: Transient Methods in heterogeneous catalysis

T16: Data as the key resource in digital catalysis

T18: Transitioning from refining to circular and sustainable chemistry: transition metal sulfide catalysts at the crossroads

T20: Single atom catalysis

T22: Catalytic reactions for hydrogen storage and release

We encourage you to submit your abstracts and also to register as reviewer to contribute to the selection of the speakers and posters.

Deadline is approaching: 31st October 2023
