2023 has been an eventful year with succesful symposia organised by the food & biobased, genomics, biopharma and applied biocatalysis and of course the YoungNBV workgroups. Another highligth was the NBC-23, with a record number of participants joining an interactive and vibrant congress.

There is much too look forward to in the coming year. The European Congress on Biotechnology deserves a special mention because it is coming to Rotterdam in 2024! The next Netherlands Biotechnology Congress will be part of ECB 2024 and we are proud to co-organise this major international event with the European Federation of Biotechnology, and IUPAC.
